Undergraduate Research Day
Work I presented at University of Maryland’s Undergraduate Research Day! This was the culmination of my work from my seedling competition project over the past year. Excitingly, we found that competition is actually influencing the prevalence of disease in flowering plants! However, since we are only able to see infection status when they are flowering, this does not necessarily mean that the entire population of plants under competition had a higher prevalence of disease! Hopefully another student after me can follow up and figure this out. I’m very proud of this work, even with the hiccups it had along the way, but it finished, and I got cool results!
